I would like to add “Hold” as an option for Deal Status, because in a longer sales process. There are several open deals that are in a holding pattern. We have not won or lost them, but I would like to separate the Hold Deals from the Open Deals that are active proposals. These pending proposals are not Won or Lost, but there are Open deals that are warmer than the ones that are being pushed off for budgets of following year or indefinitely.
Hey Brett thanks for bringing this up and for explaining the use case so well!
This makes a lot of sense, especially in longer sales cycles where not every open deal is at the same level of urgency. Being able to separate deals that are actively in play from ones that are parked due to budget cycles or indefinite delays would give a much cleaner view of the pipeline and help the team focus on what’s actually warm.
We’ve logged this as a feature request and passed it along to our product team for consideration. While we don’t have a timeline to share just yet, feedback like this goes a long way in shaping what we prioritize.
In the meantime, a possible workaround could be using a custom field or a separate pipeline stage to tag and filter these “Hold” deals. Happy to help you set that up if it would be useful!
Appreciate you sharing this. Let’s see it make it to the roadmap! ![]()
