We love the CRM side of things, but the email campaign builder is actively hurting our brand.
We send to a very small (-700), highly engaged list of sommeliers and wine directors (70 % open rates, zero spam complaints ever). Everyone is on modern devices and inboxes (iPhone Gmail/Apple Mail, Spark, Superhuman, etc.).
Every time we import a clean, responsive template (BeeFree, Stripo, etc.), Salesmate wraps it in a fixed 600 px table container and strips out Google Fonts. This breaks mobile stacking and forces fallback fonts — the exact opposite of what our audience expects from a premium natural-wine brand in 2025.
We’re not a cold-outreach team worried about Outlook 2007 or spam filters — we just want beautiful, modern emails that look the way we designed them.

Please add a simple toggle in the campaign HTML editor:
“Disable wrapper / send raw HTML” (opt-out of the forced sm-row / sm-email-table container and font stripping)
HubSpot, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, and even Pipedrive all offer this option. It would take us (and many other design-focused customers) from frustrated with the email builder to delighted evangelists overnight.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. we truly appreciate the detailed insights. We’re glad you love the CRM side of Salesmate and understand the frustration with the email campaign builder affecting your template design, mobile stacking, and fonts.
I’ve shared your request for a “Disable wrapper / send raw HTML” toggle with our product team. While I can’t provide an immediate timeline, your suggestion is being seriously considered for future improvements.
I also wanted to let you know that we’ve already seen some great improvements in the email builder lately:
The previous row/column stacking issue on mobile has been fixed ✓The ability to save and reuse rows has now been added ✓
These changes are already making a noticeable difference.
That said, the one remaining blocker that is genuinely hurting our brand (and I suspect many other design-conscious customers) is the forced wrapper behaviour. Thanks again.
Thank you for the appreciation, we love to thrive by your feedback. I am pleased to inform you that the wrapper behaviour is currently under development and you can find the improvement in the upcoming release.
This update will make a huge difference for us. It will allow us to design complex, fully on-brand HTML emails in BeeFree and bring them into Salesmate reliably, while still ensuring compliance with unsubscribe links and our physical address.
One request that could really benefit both users and Salesmate:
Would you consider adding Salesmate as an official BeeFree integration?
BeeFree already supports a long list of ESPs, and integrating Salesmate would automatically sync merge tags, tracking parameters, unsubscribe links, and more — making it far easier for teams to adopt Salesmate for email campaigns.
Here’s the integrations page for reference:
This would be a fantastic improvement and could even bring more customers to Salesmate.
Thanks again — excited to see the upcoming update!
we have passed this to our Partnership and Integration Team for review and they will take action accordingly. Will keep the community updates as we see a development in this context.
