I make a crap ton of calls, some go through. It’s not difficult to detect a conversation after X number of minutes - or detect call attempt instead so the call is not in “pending” status anymore and actually shows on the dashboard.
I shouldn’t have to click every single past call - if it wasn’t logged, or if a rep made a mistake - to open up and change the outcome. should be able to open up pending, and just single click a line or edit a drop down to organize automatically.

The “Pending” view is meant for logging calls that haven’t been recorded yet, not for updating outcomes.
Call outcomes are only available for calls that have already been logged. For that, you can use the Activity view or a widget to review and update outcomes.
If you’re making a high volume of calls, I’d recommend using the Power Dialer, it lets you log calls and capture outcomes and notes in real time, which is much more efficient.
This should help streamline things and avoid needing to go back and update calls later.
