Real-Time Messaging, and "typing" alerts for internal users.

We have to refresh the page to see new text messages. When multiple users are on a number, it makes it easy for clients to get multiple messages on accident as two sales members are responding at the same time.

Ideally, we would see that an internal user is typing and know to stop and the message would update dynamically if somebody looking at the chat without the need to refresh their screen.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We’ve tested this behavior on our end, and the auto-refresh functionality for text messages appears to be working as expected. If it’s not functioning properly for you or any of your users, we recommend clearing the browser’s cookies and cache, which should help resolve the issue. Please let us know if the problem persists after that.

This issue is persisting and 100% repeatable. The behavior happens specifically with internal users texting the same external user. The external sms doesn’t require a “refresh” to be visible while the secondary internal user’s sms doesn’t appear for the logged in user.

Apologies for the delayed response. Internal users’ texts should also refresh within a couple of seconds when multiple team members are working on the same external contact. If it’s taking longer than expected on your end, please let us know and we’ll be happy to look into it.

Regarding the typing indicator for internal users, we will need to check the feasibility of this feature. We’ll share an update once we hear back from our product team.
